Ever since Heidi left (and in fact before she came) on Sunday, I have been watching 'Allo 'Allo. I have series 1-5 on DVD and the rest on videos of varying and somewhat dubious quality. Yesterday after work I drove to Monbulk just to purchase a copy of Rene & Me by Gorden Kaye. I have also just hunted out my 'Allo 'Allo war diaries.
There is, of course, a perfectly simple explanation. Listen very carefully. I shall say this only once.
I am going to Brisbane on Sunday for the single reason of seeing the stage show of 'Allo 'Allo starring *drumroll* Gorden Kaye (Rene), Guy Siner (Lt Gruber) and Sue Hodge (Mimi). It also has Chloe Dallimore, who played Ulla in The Producers in its recent Australia tour. I presume she will be playing Helga, although the website I have linked to above does not include Helga in the list of characters. I can't believe she won't be in it though.
Can someone who has seen the show on stage tell me about it?

We actually had a discussion about 'Allo 'Allo in one of my lectures a few months ago and people were really divided on it, with more people disliking it than I would have thought. There's a girl from Norway on my course and she said that people in her country would not find 'Allo 'Allo funny in any way at all and that it would never be shown on TV there.
