I do so agree with you.

My sister and I went to Sydney to see Lion King when it first opened and we were pretty much the only people in the theatre who did not think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I didn't see the point of a lot of the 'extra' stuff they put in. Sure the costumes and scenery were spectacular but that only lasted the first ten minutes of each act.

We saw it from front row of dress circle which, although it didn't get the aisle work that stalls got, did get some flying birds and animals after interval which thrilled the kids sitting around us (and us too, briefly, if the truth be told).

Am now inspired to watch dvd again.

And does the DVD have much extra stuff? I may borrow it from the video library to watch, if so.
