The road less travelled...

I have been pathetic about writing in this recently, but I knew I would be. Still, I have the excuse that I am waiting hand and foot on my father, but thankfully he has been picked up by the neighbours and taken up the bush for a few days, leaving me alone to get on with my thesis. I have already done some on it this morning, and am hoping to get the writing done during the following week so that I can edit like fury next week. We shall see...

I was going to do the first lines of each month meme, but as I know that most of my major events happened on other days of the month, it would be a bit pointless. I could write a list of the books I've read, but I can't remember them all! I would do the fic writing meme, but as I've written almost nothing this year, that would also seem rather silly. Instead I shall list my New Year's resolutions:
1) Lose weight. I make this every year, but this year, as I will finish my thesis and have more time to myself, I am actually going to do it. All it really involves is 30 mins exercise every day, as when I am doing that, no matter what I eat, I lose weight. I aim to lose about 40kgs this year. I firmly believe that this is doable.
2) Finish my thesis by the end of January. Okay, so this isn't really a resolution, but it looks good as I will get it done. ;-)
3) Prepare notes for several books: expansion of my thesis, novels on Nuremberg War Crimes Trials and Rosenstrasse protest, murder mystery, Holocaust novel (to be written in NaNoWriMo). Begin writing them, or at least plan them out in detail.
4) Write fanfic, including Narnia story that is nagging at me, as well as fanfic100 stories and also the unfinished Pretender fics I have sitting on my computer - three at last count.

I will make a note to review these every month and see just how successful I am. Now back to thesis...
