Well, haven't I been a slack person? Antually, no, not really. Instead, I have been transformed into a full-time cook, cleaner, letter-poster (grrr!), tidier, cast plastic-bagger (sounds much more exciting than it really is!) and bottle-washer.
*runs off to answer call*
Oh, yes, and pyjama-fetcher.
*sigh*
So here it is, two days before Christmas. Dad has an appointment with the doctor at 8.30am tomorrow morning and then an x-ray after that. We shall watch Carols By Candlelight tomorrow night, as the three of us did that last year, and I suspect it has become an instant tradition. Then we're going to some of Mum's relatives on Sunday, which can only be a heck of a lot better than her brother's family!
As for me, I have done almost nothing for the last week. Well, that's not strictly true either. I really should stop telling fibs or I won't get any prezzies from Santa! Speaking of which, I did all the Christmas shopping on Wednesday. I went in to Melbourne Uni library today to get a book before they shut over the holidays. I met with my supervisor on Monday about my thesis before she goes away today until Jan. 15. I have otherwise shopped, washed clothes, put up Chrissy decorations, cleaned the house and played Sims 2. Lots. That latter point is very good for my stress levels, as it is a life I can control without having to put up with A GRUMPY INVALID WITH A BUSTED ANKLE.
Sorry, that last point appears to be a bit of a sore point. *g*
Oh, yes, I've also written a story for a Yuletide pinch hit request, so I'm very pleased about that, as it means I can play next year! Yay!
So after Christmas
sangerin is coming to visit, which will be like a second Christmas. We are going to see Narnia on the 28th in Gold Class (ooh!) while Dad is at a doctor's appointment, which I am very pleased to get out of! Yay!
And I believe that is pretty much all I've done. Any ideas for New Year's resolutions?
