So, yes, it's nearing the end of the month, and rest assured, if I had had anything much to tell you, I would have told you. Since my bag going walkies, however, my life has been so mundane as to be ridiculous. I have:
done some shopping on various days (I snapped up 'cheap' copies of the Chalet School Books for Girls volumes 1 and 3 for only $120 each, which resulted in some mild squeeing and the sensible decision to leave them as birthday and Christmas presents).
bought a pretty pink top to wear to a dinner dance on October 6.
made up a program for the stage production that my boss is putting on next weekend (this nearly killed me, as it resulted in using programs with which I am not too familiar (i.e. Publisher) and also copying things to CDs, which my computer decided it wouldn't)
working an extra day last week, which meant I felt like I was a day ahead of myself.
sailed through my dancing progress check with flying colours.
went to see Hairspray with my Rotary Club, which I thought was a fantastic film, with the best energy!
Today, in contrast to the above, I have been both busy and domestic. I have:
been to a Rotary Youth Exchange meeting to prepare young folks for their year overseas.
made meatballs in tomato sauce.
made banana cake, so the kitchen smells like heaven.
And I am still preparing to:
made bolognaise sauce.
create my Rotary Club's weekly Bulletin.
fight with my DVD player, which has taken my Hairspray soundtrack and refuses to give it back. I just got it back, and yes, the DVD player is still whole. I think it was sulking 'cos I called it names when it wouldn't play a DVD I wanted to see the other day.
Mmm, warm banana cake...
