Just so you know, today is the day when I part company with my gallbladder. Yay! I had another attack of pain on Sunday after foolishly eating scrambled eggs for breakfast, so I'm actually really looking forward to getting rid of the darned thing! Hooray!

And now, found out long after the fact, that by a) change of diet and b) certain things to flush out said gallbladder that the surgery can be avoided in almost all cases! :(
Well, I didn't do enough of change of diet, so mine got yanked almost 6 yrs ago now.
As I found out from my anatomy teacher - eat lots and lots of broccoli now to get the nutrients that you are missing since the gallbladder has been taken.
And, you got off easy - friend of mine's dad ignored the severe, gut wrenching pain for too long & by the time they got him into surgery, it had ruptured, so no laproscopic procedure for him. He had to do it the hard way and face like 3 times the recovery period.
Nice to see you made it through the surgery & found something awesome to wear for your rotary club event - wear it! I bet you will knock the socks off everyone! :)
