First, I'm astonished that there are no comments on my flist from sangerin expressing her sheer delight that Serena Williams has been given the Royal Order of the Mitten from the Open. Are you not well, hun?

Second, I am now a Rotarian (well, as of Wednesday, but haven't had the energy to post since then). This is very exciting for me, but may not mean a lot to you. Briefly, Rotary is a service organisation that raises money for charities and other needy groups by all sorts of means (e.g. Saturday and Sunday markets, Art shows, etc.). You can't just join this group, you have to be asked, so I must have hidden my true nature for long enough for them to be sucked in. *veg*

Third, I am looking for somewhere to hide for the next week. This is because I hate and detest Melbourne weather, as these are the high temperatures for the next week:
Saturday (today): 36
Sunday: 41
Monday: 28
Tuesday: 27
Wednesday: 30
Thursday: 32
Friday: 28

*sobs bitterly then throws temper tanty* I want snooo-oooow!

Apparently it's short for eskimo - I didn't know you could store drinks in an eskimo, but you live and learn. *snicker*

And they've given us a new prediction - it will now be 43 degrees. Waaaaah!

And you do see the problem with the hole, don't you? I'd have to 1) go outside and 2) dig. As it's already in the mid 30s, I'm afraid I have no plans to do either! Even making the bed seems like too much effort at the moment!
