I received a copy of Peace in the mail today. I have it in my hand right at this moment and am trying very hard not to scream with delighted. Heeeeeee!!!!!

I just got mine. I read it in one sitting and I loved it. I've had a rotten week and it made me feel much better so thank you. You've written a damn good comfort read. If you wnat I'll try and say something more intelligent when I am less tired.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it so much! Comfort reading was exactly what I was aiming for (after all, isn't the whole series this?) so I'm delighted to hear you feel that way. Was there anything you didn't like or thought didn't fit?

Will tomorrow do? Just been to see HP&GoF in town, so once again I'm tired.

A few thoughts for now. I particularly liked Katherine James and Gwensi's reactions when Peace in Europe was declared it was so EBDish to immediately remind them the war wasn't over. The bit about Luigia made me tear up too. Con Stewart's letter and the reappearance of Margia were also highs. I always wanted to know what happened to Margia. It was also an ELinorish (is that a word) technique to insert the letter. I'm sure I'll think of something more intelligent when I've slept and will let you know.

Have added you to my friends list I hope you don't mind.

I'm glad the letter works. I was worried it might have been too long. And I have always liked Margia, so I was certainly going to include her if I could! The chapters describing the Peace announcement were probably more work than the rest of the book put together, so I'm glad they flow and tell the story well!

I've just finished mine too and loved it - it's been a rotten week for me too (I share a house with [livejournal.com profile] dozydormouse).

I have a complaint however, I was reading it on the way to a job interview this morning and was sitting on the train trying not to cry.

Red eyes wasn't the look I was after! However managed to pull myself together and not look like a total wreck...

Thank you so much for such a wonderful story - can't wait for the next one :)
