Important things that must be done this weekend (I would say 'today', but that is far too restrictive):

  • Write the remainder of my thesis chapter Why did I agree to hand it in on Monday? *tears hair* - Update: half of the chapter is done! Hooray!

  • Tidy room Otherwise I have no surface on which to lay my papers.

  • Cook hedgehogs No, not the chocolate kind - the ones with meatballs in tomato sauce. This is so I have dinners for the weekend and don't have to have junk food (like last night *blush*).

  • Cook soup Ditto for above point, except this is lunch.

  • Walk I'm going for a walk a day, but as I've had a couple of choccie bikkies, I probably should make it two today... - well, I only did one, but considering we've had almost constant thunder and lightning today, I'm rather pleased. (I HATE walking in the rain!)

  • Put on washing That way I can hang out it before the hyperactive dog of doom comes home on Monday.

  • Empty the dishwasher So I have plates to eat off and cutlery with which to do it.

  • Clean kitchen floor 'Cos I squeak when I walk on it in shoes...

I have a strange feeling that much of this will be done in reverse...

You call them Hedgehogs? We call them Porcupines! Named after a similar animal... I just think that's funny!

Well it's embarrassing how long I had to go around wondering about the Pretender fic writers from the U.K. and OZ... talking about Jarod in a wifebeater... I'd never heard "undershirts" referred to in that matter before. LOL

Ah, Junk Food, it's nice to know somethings are universal! *grin*

Well, I suppose basically it comes down to the same thing, doesn't it? And it does taste gorgeous, all hot and tomatoey and meaty. Yum! *mouth waters*

Hmm, I've never heard of undershirts called that either. I call them singlets. Wifebeaters are men who beat up their wives, as far as I know...

Yeah, that's what I thought too! LOL

I have no idea what hedgehogs OR porcupines of the food variety actually are. I do know what wifebeaters are though. As I know that Stella Artois (a beer) is also referred to as wifebeater.

Look at you actually doing things on your to-do list! *has an inability to do anything on a to-do list*

Oh, they're lovely! Cooked rice made into meatballs with beef mince, put in tomato soup into which I mix about a teaspoon of french onion soup mix, and then cook it for about 35-45mins until meat is cooked. Lovely and rich!

I've heard of Stella Artois, but never as a wifebeater.

And I'm very pleased with myself and the way my list is going! Must cook though. Shall do so now!

Well done you - all barring the walk and the write up chapter done - I'm guessing that bar skipping the walk you did go in reverse order. Oh and I think I'm probably the most uneducated since the only form of hedgehogs I've heard of are the animals (yes I've read books about people eating them) and a childrens name for a kind of (I think sweedish but I might be wrong) potatoe. And wife beater!!? Huh!

*smiles rather smugly* I even did one walk, and half of the chapter. *glows with positive self-righteousness*

Yay you. Absoultley excellant. You have done brilliantly well. In one day all barring 1 walk, and half a chapter written. And considering what you have said about the weather!

Stella's quite... intoxicating. It's well known in Britain that it is only drank by certain type of person. Despite marketing in Ireland which makes it sound all classy.

Hedgehogs sound quite nice, actually! Not at all like I imagined. I hope the cooking went well =D

Ah, I see. We do have it in Oz, but I have no idea what type of people drink it.

And the cooking did go well, thank you, except that I left the soup a little bit long, so it is a touch overcooked and isn't as nice as usually. Still, I shall eat/drink it. (There is an awful lot of chicken and vegetable pieces in it, so a straw would be useless...)

Good for you being so productive! It often amazes me that when I break down a horrendous days work into small quantites just how easy it is to do an awful lot - and sometimes you don't even appreciate how accomplished you are. (I'm thinking my personal battles with the monster that lives in the washing up bowl! lol)

You know, if you did it after each meal, it would be more manageable...
