The blindness one (title escapes me at the moment), while admittedly seriously Mary-Sue-ish (although perhaps only because I know you so well), is nevertheless a brilliant fic. Just as not every original female character is a Mary-Sue, not every story containing a Mary-Sue is bad.

The Darkness Series? Thank you. *bows* And I think other people would have been able to recognise the Mary-Sue-ness of that character, although as much because the tP fandom leaps on any OC who falls in love with the lead character as a Mary-Sue. I am trying to write a fic with an original character who is not Mary-Sue, and it will be interesting to see how it turns out!
