As revenge against the not-working CBB, I splashed out today on a first edition copy of Theodora. No dw, but it does have the frontispiece, so that is very shiny! Yay! I am slowly but surely clawing my way towards a full hardback set!!!

Congratulations!

A hardback set is way beyond my sight, but I am up to two -- and the second broke the Curse of United. (paid for twice but not delivered either time -- obviously not meant to be a book on its own)

Goodness, I hope you didn't pay much for the ones you were swindled out of. Fortunately (touch wood!) I hvaen't had that problem yet. I have 33 in hardback, 13 in GGB and the rest in paperback. I had them only paperbacks at the start of 2003...

I did get the money back first time around, though it took about six months.

Thirty-three hardbacks in less than two years! Yes, I can see the poor credit card's problem.... though the bank collecting the fees is probably dancing in the street.
