List your current six favorite songs, then pick six other people that have to do the same. I'm basically doing mine as a musicals meme (and it's ruddy hard to pick only six, let me tell you!). Oh, and I'm limiting it to one song per musical, or they'd all be Les Mis!

1. Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. Guaranteed to make me at least sob, if not bawl like a baby, in the theatre, and stops me in my tracks when I hear it at other times. Simply gorgeous.

2. Cell Block Tango from Chicago. I can never help giggling when I hear this, particular from the Babe Neuwirth/Ann Reinking soundtrack. I preferred it there to the film version.

3. Bangkok/One Night In Bangkok from Chess. It would have been Anthem, but honestly, I loved acting this song and I always remember that play when this comes on.

4. I Think It's Going To Rain Today from Beaches. Amazing voice. Amazing song. Just love it!

5. It's A Dangerous Game from Jekyll and Hyde. No real idea why I love this song, but it sends a chill down my spine when I hear it. I think it's the supressed emotions that Anthony Warlow and Linda Eder on the recording.

6. Don't Cry Out Loud from The Boy From Oz. Another song that made me tear up when I saw it performed on stage (although seeing it minimum of once a week did make me rather resistant by the end of the season). Just a gorgeous, heart-felt song!

Okay, that's impressive. Only one of the bunch that isn't from a musical, and that's from a movie. (And also on my list.)

And all of them except the Boy from Oz one are definitely high on my list. *g*

*lol* Why, thank you! These are certainly among my favourite songs of all time, so it made sense to do a soundtracks-only list.
