*sigh* I happened to check the website for Dunfermline Abbey and found the following:

Please note: The Palace and Abbey will be closed from 04/01/2013 - 11/01/2013 due to unforeseen circumstances. Apologies for the inconvenience.

*double sigh* I really, really wanted to see that place, but (as with Holyrood Palace last time) it will have to wait for a future trip. Of course, that means I'm in Dunfermline for no reason, but never mind.

I have looked over my schedule and instead I will go and visit Linlithgow Palace (which I was going to see on Tuesday) on the way to Stirling.

I don't have much cause for complaint really, do I?

BTW, just watched David Tennant's interview with Jonathan Ross. Congrats to him and his wife!

Bugger! Either I'm psychic or I should have laid money on her being pregnant again. *sigh* Now why can't I do that with the lottery?

Sorry about Dunfermline being a waste, but Stirling should be lovely!!

*lol* To be fair, it was pretty predictable.

And yes, looking forward to Stirling!

Oh no, it's so annoying when that happens! Linlithgow's good, though - I went there from Edinburgh.

Yes, I really enjoyed it!

Linlithgow claims to be the home of Scotty from Star Trek. Random fact of the day.

*lol* Thank you, that really made me smile!

Really? :D Then I'd like to go just for the heck of it one day. :DD

*lol* Sadly the city does not seem to make a fuss about it...

Shame. How was it?

The palace was very interesting, although I didn't see much of the city.

Visit sunny Paisley! Where the weather is warm and so is the comradeship!

Thank you for the suggestion, but sadly Edinburgh is my last place to visit in Scotland.

I was wondering what you were on about when I realized that you probably meant January 4 thru January 11 instead of April 1 thru November 1. :D Really, dates should all be standardized to avoid confusion.

*lol* Well, that would be America's responsibility because the rest of the world gets it right. ;-)

Oh, dear...let's not open *that* can of worms. No one could possibly explain how Day-Month makes any kind of sense. ;)

I'm happy to explain that if you'll explain how Month-Day makes any kind of sense. ;-)

As for my explanation, all I'll say is that most Europeans I know might write 7 January 2013, but they *say* January the 7th. So why don't they just write it that way? Doesn't make sense. :)

Hmm, I'm afraid that doesn't wash with me since I mostly DO say '7th of January.' Do you have any other reasons? ;-P

Nope, because I never said one way is right and the other way is wrong...that was you. :)

BTW, I have been reading your travel accounts and find them very enjoyable. Haven't had the strength to post or reply much as I've been ill, but I'm feeling better and trying to catch up with everyone this week. I look forward to rereading your posts. :)

*lol* Darn you for arguing with logic when my feet hurt! ;-)

I'm very glad you've been enjoying them! Sorry to hear about you being ill though. Stop that at once!
