Prompt Word: Uniform
Word Count: 100 exactly! Yay!
Note/Warning: Written for the twenty-second weekly drabble challenge with the prompt ‘uniform’.
Night after night, her screams echoing in her ears, she sees them marching towards her in that shipping container, their red eyes glowing and those hideous translator balls held out threatening in front of them, their actions, like their clothes, completely uniform, controlled by the Ood brain.
And night after night, when she wakes up shaking from those nightmares, the Doctor is there to hold her and reassure her.
“How do you always know?” she finally asks him.
His reply is at once soothing and infinitely reassuring.
“Don’t forget, Donna, the Ood aren’t the only ones with powers of telepathy.”
