Yes, that's right, any rumours about my demise were extremely premature, if not outright blasphemy. I have been completely snowed under with thesis and the writing of my second book, but of late I have found time for other things. Hopefully this include rather more LJ in the future.

In the meantime, I need some suggestions for your favourite alien planet ever visited on Doctor Who. Oh, and why you liked it so much. This will appear in one of my forthcoming fics, which I hope to have finished and ready to post very soon...

You know in season 4 they mentioned the planet Zog I would love to see your take on that. It was never really discribed in the series.

I am glad you are still alive and doing well I am glad to see your return to LJ.

Ooh, yes, Zog could be fun. And thanks, I did miss you all!

I'm kind of curious to know what Ten's interaction with the two-headed architects from Flesh and Stone would be like. From old Who, i guess the Sense Sphere.

Great minds (and great icons) think alike. ^_^

Hmm, yes, that would be interesting. And I don't remember the Sense Sphere, but will do some research. Thanks for the suggestions!

Mmmm... blasphemy indeed. Everyone who ever undertakes a thesis, needs to be allowed any meltdown or shucking social networking responsibility time ad infinitum!

Hope it's all going well with the thesis AND the second book... phew!

I don't really have a favourite planet that they visit (well, it feels a bit wrong to say earth... but that probably IS my favourite) but I think the really intriguing planet is probably the Oodsphere, which I think is intriguing for a range of reasons, but mostly because it remains almost entirely unexplored. All those ones from the sixties and seventies, with a few notable exceptions, included a lot of caves and television studios, I mean caverns, so it was hard to get excited about the planet beyond the characters that they inhabited, and I think they became a focus for me. But there was one... and I haven't seen it since the mid-seventies, but it was... running off to try and find something on youtube... bugger, can't find it. They were hiding behind rocks and looking towards the city. Feel like it was Four... ring any bells??? Sorry, that was as vague as I could get!

Cough. Try looking here? Cough.

(Sadly, I don't know which one you're talking about, so I'm no help myself. Sorry.)

*lol* Thank you! I certainly agree with that sentiment!

I shall think about the Oodsphere, but I would like to try a different place and I've set several fics there now. Not sure which other planet you mean, but if you find it, let me know.

*ducks* I kid, I kid!

YOU'RE ALIVE! *clings desperately* I assumed you had become lost in the terrifying Land of Thesis so I didn't want to bother you, but I'm glad you're alive and well! :)

As for ficcity fic, I'm all for the home of the Aplans (the two-headed creatures that the Doctor should have met in Series 5 if they hadn't been wiped out and replaced by my icon), which is apparently called Alfalva Metraxis.

There's a complete list of the Whovian planets here if you haven't seen them; some of them I recognize, some I don't, but if you went for an old school planet that you weren't familiar with, that could direct you to the right story to research with, blah blah.

I should also point out that I think I have yet to see a good fic about Barcelona, at least that I remember. You could probably remedy that. ;)

Hee! I am indeed! *clings back* I do have periods of being lost, but manage to extricate myself.

Great minds think alike. I have also been thinking about Barcelona, among other places. Still, we shall have to see...

Zog, Zog, Zog! I'm with flydye8, planet Zog. Or the Lost Moon of Poosh. I'm torn. I know that they didn't visit either but they were mentioned, so surely that counts?

Yes, Zor or the Lost Moon of Poosh could be very interesting indeed. Thanks so much for the hints!

Well, I was going to say the Oodsphere too, because it was sort of the only happy place they visited - well, it ended happily anyway. Zog though, because in my fanon that's where they were before The Unicorn and the Wasp, and they seemed pretty happy when they arrived...

I am glad to see you posting here, and to know that you're writing more DW for us!

*hugs*

Hmm, yes, Zog could be very interesting. I shall have to see what my imagination can conjure up.

Best wishes on your thesis and the book!

How about planet Feldspoon? What a good name, Feldspoon. Apparently it's got mountains that sway in the breeze. Mountains that move, can you imagine?

;)

Thanks!

Hmm, definitely a thought, although it's the Doctor not going with Donna in this instance. I might wait until she's there too...
