Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

Can I even squee loud enough that you're writing a companion piece to Dona Nobis Beatitas! It's one of my favorite fix-its. I really enjoy the meditative quality of it.

But I confess ignorance - I don't know what a timestamp or a meme is. Well, I've read timestamps but if you asked me to define it, I couldn't. And I know what a meme is in the internet/pop culture/societal sense, but not in the LJ sense...unless they mean the same thing, where in that case I don't know what a meme is after all...and I'd still be muddled on the timestamp thing.

Hmmmm. Now I've confused myself into a corner.

No matter! Off to find out where the LJ Dictionary is kept...

As for a Timestamp meme, and a meme itself, I'll start with the latter.

A meme is something that is passed around from journal to journal and reposted with individual people's answers. Dictionary.com defines it as "a cultural item that is transmitted by repetition in a manner analogous to the biological transmission of genes". If you see something appear on a lot of journals, it's a meme.

A timestamp is where you take a story someone has written and ask for a scene that precedes or follows it. So, for instance, if you've always wondered what would happen after a particular story, or in the middle of one, or before it begins, you suggest that idea.

From Rolling Out the Red Carpet:
the Doctor goes back for the tiara and then one day when (maybe?) her mum has nagged her and got her down, he produces it and places it on her head and tells her she will always be his beautiful queen. [Or any varaition on this, I know this is awfully specific, mostly I just think Donna and the tiara belong together!]

*lol* Why don't we start with an upper limit of three for now? As I write more, you can add more.

What about this? I'd love to see the Doctor and Donna explaining everything about Donnakranoltondusoldar to Sylvia and Wilf during Time after Time (http://katherine-b.livejournal.com/170871.html). This would prove to be interesting, and bonus points if Sylvia scares the Doctor. XD

Oh, good Lord, poor Sylvia and Wilf. It's a fascinating idea though! Adding it to the list!

Ooh, I've been waiting for this. I asked you already, but in case you forgot, can I have a follow-up to When Wishes Come True, just after Donna's fixed and the Doctor comes back from bringing her tea or something, and she says to him "So how long have you loved me?" and he's all deer-caught-in-headlights. I'd like the conversation that immediately following this, please?

My favorite story of yours is the 2 Doctors and Donna. I really like it. I would love to to see a companion piece to it where Donna asks the Doctor she's with about him wiping her memories. The shippier the better! I am also really glad you aren't time stamping The Quiet Times. I think it is excellent the way it is.

I'll see what I can come up with. I can definitely promise that it will be shippy though!

And thanks. I really didn't want to have to come up with justifications and excuses for that fic.

I know you said you didn't want to add on to the ending of Skies Turn Dark (sadface), but what about a prequel that shows how the Doctor got into the situation he was in at the beginning of the story?

Good Lord, I haven't the foggiest idea! I mean, great prompt and I'll add it to the list, but I haven't the least notion at this stage.

(You just want me to use that icon again, don't you? And you like seeing the Doctor suffer...)

I've been re-reading your specials with Donna in them and if you're still taking timestamps, I'd love to see several months after the end A Time Of Endings. If you could make it a lil' bit shippy, you'd make me a very happy bunny. :D I know that Shaun was still in the picture but you know me...*winks*

I'd love to see a fic where Donna and Eleven meet and Donna slaps him so hard he regenerates back into Ten.

Barring that...

A tag/epilogue/sequal perhaps to Touch of an Angel that has Donna taking control of driving the TARDIS for a little bit?
