1."A woman who put herself between a complete stranger and a group of robot troops with guns on the first day, and who has gone on proving her bravery every single day since then, as if she thinks there’s a danger I might one day forget how incredible she is."
2. "Forget the wedding – there’ll be a funeral instead if she knew you’d done that, considering her dad gave them to her."
3. “Ah,” he said, dragging out the syllable until he could think of something more intelligent to offer. “We-ell…”
4. “Hey, Donna,” Spaceman’s head had been poking around the console, spectacles hanging rather drunkenly off one ear and hair every which way as usual, “isn’t it your birthday soon?”
5. “You know,” the Doctor says lightly, suppressing a grin only with difficulty, “if this was a movie, this would be the moment when the light goes off and the elevator stops suddenly, leaving the hero and the heroine stranded for hours.”
6. “I can’t kill anybody for you. No more wishing for more wishes,” he goes on, his voice getting smaller as he counts off on his fingers, “and I can’t bring people back from the dead.”
7. “So shooting water on the High Priestess would have felt to her like a bullet would to me.”
8. He can’t quite explain the reason for the reluctance that is keeping him from going outside, only that a tiny part of him would like to return the TARDIS to the vortex.
