Yup. I shouldn't be making commitments when I have thesis and other things to do, but it's really the allure of having some to illustrate my fic that is prompting me to do it.
Poke poke poke, i just wanted to say my paid time has expired for good on here, so since i read (or will read when i have time to read!) you at Dreamwidth and feed your stories into my Google Reader, i'm taking you off this reading list. Just wanted to let you know so you don't wonder why i've suddenly deleted 3/4 of my friends list. ;)
Oh god, don't tempt me with Vortex. The fic i'm working on now is going to be at least 50k words, probably more, but i don't think it'll be even half finished by June. And the other one is even longer and won't be done until next year sometime. You and your shiny challenge communities will be the death of me.
No worries, I did wonder when I saw your message on your LJ, but since I hadn't heard from you, I thought maybe you were keeping your journal for reading purposes or something.
I apologise for the temptation. The only reason I'm doing it is because I'd love someone to illustrate one of my fics and this seems like the best/only way to make it happen. I look forward to reading yours when it's done though!
No, only as an archive. I'm using Dreamwidth's cross-site reading feature when it goes live, but until then, i'm either reading people's DW mirrors or feeding their fic into Google Reader, which lets me add tags and stars and is generally awesome. :D
Oh, don't! I consider doing it every year. And i'm really quite tempted, but too much thesis, and Tess already promised to illustrate my FBOFW. And our collab, i believe, so i shouldn't be greedy and ask for MORE art. *nods sagely*

See, having someone who is willing to do it for you solves the problem, doesn't it? But no one does, so I have to find other ways. And then I came up with a really sweet story idea (I think...) that will look absolutely gorgeous illustrated.
I look forward to seeing it whenever you get it done!

There is probably already one on the art sites like DA. Sadly though, you're right - artists here are lacking. If i was half decent i'd give some art a go, but Amanda is best left to words. She can control them.
