Okay, folks, I want to hear your thoughts. Let's see what kind of a backlash I'm in for with the planned ending of this series by seeing what you want to have happen in it.

*hugs you*
Heh. Even if I completely hate the ending you do of course know I love the fic, right? And....erm, and you....I suppose.
*tries to pick just one of the above options*
(no subject)
And I'm glad you at least love the fic, no matter what happens...

It's gonna be okay, snuggle buddy. We'll be at your house at 6pm sharp. (And I'll only let them bring rubber knives) ♥

Donna dies happy, having saved the Doctor
*is being evil too*

And there's nothing wrong with evil!

I do think that given the various seeds you've given Jack throughout the story, somehow dying, or at least giving up some of his Immortal energy to save Donna would be an apropos ending. Given the way he was so emotionally pummeled in COE, he may very well feel like this would be the way to go (sort of like Nine when he took the Vortex from Rose in POTW).
And about that whole FOB thing? There are some of us who don't believe Jack turns into the guy in my icon.
*waits last chapter and prepares to be a blubbering mess by the end of Friday(my time)*

That being said, no matter what, your not allowed to sacrifice 'our' Doctor. He is still needed. *nods*
..........
But I probably wouldn't come after you with a pitchfork if it happened. Just, pretty please no killing of Ten?
*bright, begging puppy eyes to go with icon*

I'm heading home now, so I'll finally be able to read the latest chapter. :)

Wait a minute, this is Jen, of course you would! *lol*
Looking forward to your comments on the latest chapter...

I'd rather her die saving the Doctor, knowing what she had done, than have to be mindwiped again. Unless she consented to the mindwipe - I could live with that maybe. But I know you've already decided, and I won't hate you - for long :D - whatever you've decided works for your story.
You will write something happy soon, right? :)

But what don't you like about the Doctor and Donna travelling together forever?
(no subject)
Donna travels with the Doctor forever. Nice and shiny, but after how much strain she's had put on the old ticker (to use the phrase, not to call Donna old) her forever's going to a: start a bit later, because she's going to have to recover from this lovely event, and b: be a little bit shorter....well, not necessarily, but you know what I mean. The happy ending is even going to have flaws. (As in it can't work out perfectly, not you'll write it rubbish-like or anything.) 8/10
Donna wakes up, but her mind has to be wiped again to save her life. This....this does nothing. Everything that holds true for the last one holds true for this, and she won't have gained anything for it anyway. Everyone will be emo and nothing will have changed. 5/10
The Doctor in the parallel universe has to sacrifice himself to save Donna. Don't mean to be companionist, but I don't think Rose would allow it. Heck, if Donna was conscious I don't think she'd allow it either. I think it would be a very 'clean' solution, as I get the tiniest (no really, the tiniest, no sarcasm there) feeling that Rose still pines for Ten proper so while she'd be upset she's probably secretly looking for Ten anyway. 6/10
The Doctor in the 'real' universe has to sacrifice himself to save Donna. Wouldn't he just regenerate? Or no? Either way, Donna would feel like crap for making her best friend kill himself (which also holds true for the previous option) and I can't help noticing that you don't say 'and it works', so it's possible that he sacrifices himself and she still doesn't make it. And if he won't regenerate and he knows it (for whatever reason) I don't think he'd do it necessarily, because while he'd want to save Donna the universe needs its Doctor and he would know that Donna would understand that. 5/10, but 8/10 if he regenerates
Jack sacrifices himself to save Donna. Again, would this one be possible? I do have the scenario in my head that by doing this he loses his technical immortality and thus is able, if you will, to become the Face of Boe (if you believe that bit) at some point rather than just staying like he is. (Aka he'd age much like Gollum!Doctor and end up looking horribly different than he did before, etc.) I think this would be an interesting choice though, because it would prove the Doctor wrong, for one thing, and it would also be something very noble (forgive the pun) for him to do for her after what he did to her brother. And besides, I'd love to see Jack step up and do something like that, especially if he knew there was a risk to it. The problem is I just don't think Jack 'sacrificing' himself for Donna is possible, considering his immortality. 7/10
Donna dies happy, having saved the Doctor. Not only does it seem like this is the solution we'll end up with, but it's the most plausible. As mentioned above, Donna (at least the Donna with her whole brain) wouldn't want someone to sacrifice themself for her, and I honestly think that if it came between her dying or either of the Doctors dying (and I mean dying, not regenerating, because that wouldn't matter to her much) she would choose to die. Of course the Doctor will feel bloody awful, but....erm, when does he not? 8/10
Final rank:
Donna dies (tie)
Ten regenerates (tie)
"Just this once, everybody lives"
Jack dies
10.5 dies
Ten dies (tie)
Brain rape v2.0 (tie)
(Did I or did I not get bored? Lol. The moral of the story is that there is no perfect solution, but no matter what you decided it will be beautiful as always. Oh, and of course the scores don't reflect the ideas so much as how much I may or may not like them, which of course isn't static anyway.)
ETA: Whoa! Lol epic!comment is epic. :p

I would love to respond to every single point in as much detail as you presented them, but as only one corresponds to the actual story, I would need to make up an explanation for how each of the others would work. This would take hours and would only serve to delay me actually putting up the final part so that you can see which one is right.
I do hope, though, that you will be satisfied with the ending I do produce...
