Overall, today has been crappy. Interested? If not, you might just want to skip over this entry and read those of other people with interesting lives.

Still here?

Wow.

Right, just to give you another chance, this will be a looooong rant, which I can't be bothered cutting.

And you're still here.

Incorrigible little critter, aren't you?

Okay, I shall begin. Last Monday, I emailed my supervisor (henceforth known as Kate, because that's her name) my most recent complete chapter, the second-last in my thesis. Tuesday was public holiday. On Wednesday I got a frantic phone call asking if we had a meeting that day (we didn't), but we arranged one for today at 9.30am. Kate hadn't read my thesis yet, but was going in to Uni on Thursday and would read it then.

I turned up at 9.25am this morning (I'm almost always early - it drives Dad nuts! *g*) and Kate looked up, somewhat harrassed, and told me she hadn't finished reading it yet, as she hadn't been able to get in until 8.30am this morning and the chapter is almost 10,000 words long. Fair enough. We arranged that I would come back at 10am.

The reason I wanted to have a meeting so early is that I would be home by 11am and could keep working. Usually we meet at 2pm, I get home at 4pm and do nothing for the rest of the day.

When I returned at 10am, she still wasn't finished, but I took the stuff she had marked to look at while she went through the rest. It was good, as we could have discussions about it as we went. Then we sat down for the proper talk and went through the bits that need change. We also spoke about the people who would grade the thesis (*wibble*) and Kate checked their Uni web-pages. There, she found essays and books that would be supremely useful for my thesis so I went to get them.

I found most things I needed at the library, but when I went to borrow them, I was told that I had an overdue book. Lovely librarian let me take the two books I had, but it meant I would need to come back and return the overdue book (which was an inter-library loan, so she couldn't renew it for me).

With my books, I got into the car and called Dad to tell him about the meeting. During that conversation, I realised it was 11.50am and I wasn't home yet. Got there about 12.30pm and planned to take the book back after lunch, except that then I realised I had to attend a Body Corporate (BC) meeting at 5pm. It would have been cutting it fine to get the meeting, so I decided I would return the book tomorrow.

I was leaving to go to the meeting when I saw our neighbour, another member of the BC, who wanted to talk to me about the meeting that would occur TOMORROW night. Gah. He's right, too. Damn me for not checking again. So I've done nothing all afternoon (including thesis *slaps wrist*) and now tomorrow will also be a very bitsy day with various things to do.

Oh yes, and now it's raining and I have to put the bins out for collection tomorrow morning.

Someone kill me now. Please? Kthnx.
